Marnesha Townsend is a Student at Central Michigan University. Townsend created her own business by providing a service of doing students' nails in her off-campus apartment. Townsend aspires to have many students on and off-campus support her business and help her learn and grow as a nail tech.

In the video provided above Townsend discusses the many trials and tribulations she had to face when she first started doing nails and she also talks about where she is now as a nail tech. Townsend discusses what it is like being an off-campus nail tech and what it is like doing nails inside of her apartment.

This video series aims to provide insight into all of the adversities Black men and women deal with off-campus when it comes to their Black-owned businesses. The Black men and women that created these businesses wanted to exemplify Black excellence and uplift the Black community, and they wanted to dedicate their service to a lot of students that live off-campus provide. A lot of the Black students feel comfortable going to another Black student on campus because they have someone that looks just like them and these students with their Black-owned businesses provides that comfort for these students.
