Hey guyssss and welcome back to Blogmas day 16! Day 16? We're getting closer and closer to Christmas. This blog post is about my New Years resolutions and some goals I have for myself and some changes I want to bring into the new decade! Hopefully the resolutions I have can inspire you all to have your own or maybe they can give inspiration to the ones that you all have in the back of your minds. Therefore, let's get into the New Years Resolutions and listen to Aly & AJ while you're here
To kick off this first resolution I have to bring into the New Year, would have to be to be more patient. This was something I wanted to get better at, being more patient. And I knew at the start of my sophomore year, being patient was something I wanted to try. This is really a resolution with me being patient with myself and keeping my sanity. I let this littlest thing stress me out and my mom told me that I can't control everything that happens and she added that I am going to kill myself stressing out about everything. I believe me being patient with myself, my professors, my grades, and work, have helped me tremendously. It helped me take everything step by step and one day at a time. I just had to remind myself all of the time that I need to relax.
The second resolution I have to bring into the New Year would be, to be more outspoken. I already know that I am very open-minded and I like to say what I'm feeling and I like to get my opinion out and I like to let people know how I'm feeling but, something I've realized is that when it comes to some of my friends, I bite my tongue to avoid a conflict and I'm not afraid of anyone but, if I can avoid a conflict... that would be great. But, it's no fun when something one of your friends said or something they did is bothering you deep down inside and you don't speak about it. Therefore, that is something I'm bringing into the New Year. I've already got an early start on this resolution.
My third resolution would have to be for me to become more involved. It was way easier in high school for some reason for me to become involved in sports and organizations than it is in college. But, the cool thing about meeting people and making friends is the connections they have as well. Me joining organizations and meeting/making more friends have gotten way better than my freshman year but, of course, I only want to continue to go up from there.
My fourth resolution would be not to let anyone waste my time if they don't deserve it. I've learned a lot this year with my friends and people who I thought were my friends and it taught me a lot about self worth and what I will tolerate in any relationship. This was also a resolution I started early but, this is something I most definitely will bring into the New Year. Not everyone deserves me and the kind of person I am.
My final and last resolution that I plan on bringing into the New Year would be to spend more time with my family. Although, I do spend time with my family and me and my family (specifically my moms side) is very family oriented, we have nothing but time therefore, I can spend more time with my family. I realized that I would rather have no friends than fake friends and a bonus is that, I have been blessed with an abundance of family. Family members that value the person I am and they're no waste of my time and a lot of people can't say that. Therefore, I would rather spend majority of my time with people that like the person that I am rather than people who makes me their second choice.
There you have it! My New Years Resolutions, I hope you guys have some great New Years Resolutions as well and I pray you and me both stick to them!
